Digital communication and printing company Ren-Form CC has threatened to take legal steps to protect its name and reputation against what it terms false, malicious, and unsubstantiated allegations against it.

Media Ombudsman John Nakuta has commended the media for its fair and balanced reporting of activities related to the November Presidential and National Assembly elections so far.

Nakuta, however, called for improved representation of women in election coverage. 

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has led a protest over the granting of the printing tender for ballot papers to a South African-based company, Ren-Form.

The Republican Party explained that it withdrew from the delegation that went to oversee the design, printing, and delivery of ballot papers in South Africa because it does not support the awarding of the tender to Ren-Form CC.

RP is one of the three parties that pulled out of the trip.

President Nangolo Mbumba has expressed confidence in the Swapo Party's presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, who could become the first female president of Namibia.

Swapo Party Vice President and presidential candidate, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah, said the party will ensure that its manifesto is implemented to improve the living standards of the citizens.

She made the assurance at the party's rally at Omuthiya in the Oshikoto Region.

Eighteen (18) political parties contesting in the November 2024 Presidential and National Assembly elections form part of the delegation that departed for Johannesburg, South Africa, to observe the design, layout, production, printing, packaging, and delivery of ballot papers.

The Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) says it is the only one that has shown political maturity, ability, and ideological bearing to become the alternate governing party. 

Its leader, McHenry Venaani, said this at a star rally at Keetmanshoop.
