A five-day strategic planning workshop has commenced at Swakopmund, bringing together various senior officials, governors, and staff from the Office of the President to craft a comprehensive five-year roadmap for the 2025/26-2029/30 period.
Officiating at the workshop, Senior Presidential Adviser Christine ||Hoëbes, stated that the programme is aimed at strengthening institutional capacity and improving service delivery and marks a critical phase in aligning the Office's priorities with national development goals.
||Hoëbes acknowledged the vital role they play in shaping the strategic direction of the presidency.
She explained that the planning process is designed to support the implementation of the mandates of the 8th Administration, ensuring that the Office of the President remains responsive, effective and aligned with the aspirations of the Namibian people.
"These words are a call for action; a call for seriousness and dedication in all our work. It is the emphasis of the eighth administration that, moving forward, it will not be business as usual. Therefore, as we deliberate and craft the Office's Strategic Plan, let us be guided by the expectations placed on this administration and ensure and implement without failure that we plan to deliver quality service to the Namibian people. Therefore, let this gathering represent more than just a mere planning exercise."
She encouraged attendees to engage actively, think innovatively and contribute their expertise to ensure the final document reflects a shared vision for a high-performing institution.
"Let us challenge ourselves to think innovatively, act decisively, and plan purposefully. With the collective wisdom and commitment gathered in this room, I am confident that we will emerge from this workshop with a robust strategic plan that is forward-looking and reflective of our shared vision for a high-performing Office of the President. Let us seize this."
The outcome of this workshop, ||Hoëbes said, is expected to position the Office of the President as a leader in governance, institutional excellence and national development.
