Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare announced on the social media platform X that approximately 4,310 young people are being recruited into the public sector across all 14 regions of Namibia.

Dr. Ngurare emphasized that these recruitments are part of the government's commitment to addressing youth unemployment.

He noted that the Namibian Correctional Service has already welcomed 278 graduates, with an additional 450 set to start on August 1, 2025.

Currently, the Namibian Defence Force is recruiting 1,800 personnel, while 1,782 graduates joined the Namibian Police Force on May 23, 2025.

Ngurare stated that job creation and service delivery will be central to the 2025/2026 National Budget, which is expected to be signed by President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah this week.
