OMAHEKE YOUTH

A group of young musicians in the Omaheke Region says it's time to take up space in the industry and make a living from it.

Speaking to the NBC News team at his recording studio on the outskirts of Gobabis, Justin Ramphaga pointed out that there is potential for youth in the industry, but it only requires collective effort to assist them in realising their dreams.

As a means of income, Ramphanga set up a small recording studio that helps fellow local musicians to record their beats.

Ramphaga states that with few resources at their disposal, young people should strive to become responsible residents.

Gospel singer Johannes Munika said the music industry will greatly shape and assist young people if local stakeholders are willing to support them.

The duo plans to host a youth empowerment show at the end of next month in Gobabis to bring many local youths in the region together to exchange ideas and showcase their talents.
