The Namibia Training Authority (NTA) has launched a new technical assistance project to align vocational training with the country’s green energy transition.

Running from February 2025 to March 2027, the initiative aims to equip Namibians, particularly youth, women, persons with disabilities, and marginalised communities, with skills for the green economy.

The launch featured keynote remarks by Deputy Minister of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture Dino Ballotti, the Head of the Green Hydrogen Programme, James Mnyupe, Namibia Training Authority CEO Erick Fundula Nenghwanya and other stakeholders.

The project will strengthen partnerships, enhance stakeholder engagement, and update TVET standards to meet green industry demands.

With backing from key partners including GIZ, the EU, and the Namibia Green Hydrogen Programme, the initiative supports job creation, skills development, and a just energy transition.
