The Minister of Information and Communication Technology unveiled the official Heroes Day logo and theme at the Government Information Centre.

Emma Theofelus announced that the logo will represent the Heroes Day commemoration for the next five years of the 8th administration.

Theofelus said the logo is not only a design with a symbol of remembrance, but it is a reflection of collective identity, honouring the country's past and further expressing the vision of a united, forward-moving Namibia.

At the core of the logo is an image of a saluting soldier, symbolising internal respect, remembrance, and the internal flame, signifying the continued legacy of the country's heroes.

Surrounding the central image are elements that represent Namibia's national aspirations, which include economic growth, creative industries, health, sports, academia, agriculture, and decent living.

The theme for Heroes Day 2025 is 'Built on bravery, bound for a prosperous future'.

This year's Heroes Day, which is 26 August, will be commemorated at Katima Mulilo in the Zambezi Region.
