Hosting business expos in Namibia is gaining momentum as they offer a platform for businesses to not only generate leads but also offer local market opportunities.

Such platforms have moved from the town level to villages such as Gainatseb, east of Khorixas, in the Kunene Region, which held its first-ever mini expo.

Stalls may have attracted a few, but what was on offer was sufficient not only for marketing but also for information sharing.

Apart from SMEs, some government directorates were also there.

Participants were, however, pleased with these kinds of efforts.

Kamanjab Constituency Councillor Nikodemus Amutenya explained that the event is meant to strengthen collaboration between the community and stakeholders.

Amutenya said his office will also work on supporting the creation of backyard gardens and community campsites in the area.

The mini expo also included a soccer tournament, which was the highlight of the event.
