The |Khomas Regional Directorate of Education, Innovation, Youth, Sports, Arts and Culture hosted a Social Studies Quiz in Windhoek.
The quiz is an annual educational activity aimed at enhancing learners' knowledge and understanding of social studies content, while promoting teamwork and research skills among them.
The event brought together twenty-eight primary school learners from various schools within the |Khomas Region.
The learners competed for top honours while showcasing their knowledge of Namibia's history, geography, economy, and society.
The initiative is a collaboration between the Khomas Regional Directorate of Education, UNAM, and other stakeholders.
The Deputy Director of Education at the Khomas Region, Eveline Benjamin, said the quiz allows learners to share knowledge and promotes critical thinking.
"As we approach the final stretch of Vision 2030, this partnership serves as a symbol for optimism and opportunity. It reminds us that education remains a cornerstone for sustainable development, social transformation, and national prosperity. Together we are shaping a future where every learner is equipped with knowledge and equipped with skills and values to thrive in a changing world."
