With the campaigns for the 2025 Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections in full swing, the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) will be conducting a meeting with all political parties, associations and independent candidates in Windhoek on Thursday.

The meeting, to be led by the Director General, Stanley Similo, will focus on the allocation of equal, free airtime provided by the broadcaster during the campaign period.

Free airtime will be availed to political messages, to be aired on all NBC platforms until 24 November, in accordance with a two-day blackout period ahead of the 26 November polling day.

A total of 68 independent candidates, 20 political parties and 23 associations will take part in the Regional Councils and Local Authorities Elections.

The Electoral Commission of Namibia (ECN) has established 4,861 polling stations that will be serviced by 2,894 teams.
