The Minister of Information and Communications Technology, Emma Theofelus, has encouraged learners at Kuisebmund Secondary School to make responsible choices that will positively shape their future.

Theofelus reminded learners that teachers are not at school to babysit them.

Teachers, she said, serve to guide and support learners on their journey to becoming responsible, successful adults.

She further urged learners to appreciate the sacrifices made by their parents to ensure they receive an education.

Theofelus said it would be disappointing for learners to attend school without striving to achieve their parents' aspirations.

"I want you to know the decisions that you make now and the last day you write your exams will be about the type of value you brought to yourself because this is nobody else's job here; this is your job. It's your 8 to 5 to come to school, get educated, and learn."

She further urged learners to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their studies.
