Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare says he has given a directive to Human Resources officials in government offices, ministries and agencies to transition to online recruitment platforms.
This follows Popular Democratic Movements (PDM) MP Winnie Moongo's concerns regarding citizens not being able to afford travelling long distances to submit their applications and being often excluded.
The prime minister says the matter was discussed recently during the innovation of the public service workshop.
Dr Ngurare says efforts to address the issue are underway with all OMA's as well as the Ministry of Justice and Labour Relations.
"The issues are valid, and we must address them. And we have also given commitments to our young people out there, OMAs, as well as the HR in various OMAs, that this process must start, and start it has begun in terms of design, as well as testing the application of how that would work."
