The Namibian Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) radio services are hosting a road safety outreach broadcast in collaboration with key role players in the road safety fraternity.

The outreach aims to raise public awareness about safe driving practices and promote responsible behaviour on the roads as the country approaches a long weekend travel period.

The Road Safety Outreach Broadcast is a campaign across all NBC radio stations designed to engage and educate people about safe behaviour on the roads.

This marks the beginning of a collective campaign involving all NBC radio stations and will be carried out at different city locations as well as on radio platforms. The main goal is to reduce road accidents, injuries, and deaths by reminding drivers, passengers, and pedestrians to follow traffic rules.

The broadcast features essential reminders, including the importance of not drinking and driving; consistently wearing a seatbelt; adhering to speed limits; refraining from using mobile phones while driving; and ensuring that vehicles are in a roadworthy condition.
