The Women's NFA Cup Semi-Finals took place on Saturday afternoon, with 2024 Cup runners-up Khomas Nampol advancing to the final for a second consecutive season after defeating Julinho Athletic 2-0.

Mighty Gunners also secured a place in the final with a 4-0 victory over Windhoek City at the Windhoek Independence Stadium.

Following their 4-0 quarter-final victory over UNAM, Khomas Nampol faced Julinho Athletic on Saturday as both sides battled for a place in the final.

From the first whistle, Nampol were on the front foot and opened the scoring in the sixth minute when Twelikondjela Hamukoto headed home from a corner.

Nampol doubled their lead later in the match when Helena Shuumbwa capitalised on a defensive miscommunication in Julinho Athletic's back line.

Julinho Athletic could not break down the Nampol defence and failed to create clear scoring opportunities.

After the victory, Khomas Nampol Head Coach Novata Paulus credited her players' discipline for the result.

In the second semi-final, Mighty Gunners Ladies faced Windhoek City for a place in the final.

Both teams entered the match with confidence following victories in their quarter-final fixtures.

Mighty Gunners defeated defending champions FC Ongos, while Windhoek City beat African Stars Queens.

Mighty Gunners made a strong start and took the lead less than 10 minutes into the match when Leena Alweendo controlled the ball and volleyed it past goalkeeper Hilde Tjiueza into the top-left corner.

Ten minutes later, Fiola Vliete added a second goal to extend the lead to 2-0.

Windhoek City struggled to contain the pressure, and before the half-hour mark, Alweendo scored her second goal of the match after Tjiueza failed to hold onto her shot inside the box.

Mighty Gunners went into halftime leading 3-0.

In the second half, Mighty Gunners continued to push forward, while Windhoek City improved defensively.

However, with two minutes remaining, substitute Miriam Michael scored from inside the box to seal a 4-0 victory and secure a place in the final.

Salome Iiyambo, Head Coach of Mighty Gunners, says she expects a tough encounter against Khomas Nampol in the final.

The final has been set, with 2025/26 Super League runners-up Mighty Gunners taking on 2024 NFA Cup runners-up Khomas Nampol.

Julinho Athletic and Windhoek City will contest the third-place playoff.
