The Director General of the Namibian Broadcasting Corporation today officially sent off the corporation's teams ahead of the Public Enterprise Games, which will take place in Rundu from 2 to 4 July.
The corporation will be represented in football, netball, volleyball and tug of war as employees prepare to compete against teams from other public enterprises.
Speaking at the send-off, Director General Menesia Muinjo encouraged the teams to represent the corporation with unity, discipline and pride.
“Employees should go out there and represent the corporation with pride, discipline, and full commitment," said the Director General, adding that teamwork remains key to success.
Acting Head of Human Resources Gerson Kamatuka highlighted the importance of team sports within the corporation.
Team sports should become a norm within the organization as they help build stronger relationships and improve cooperation across departments," he said.
Acting Chief of News and Programming Sackie Shikufa encouraged the teams to remain focused, perform well and uphold sportsmanship throughout the games.
“ I encourage you to stay focused, disciplined, and give your best, while also upholding sportsmanship throughout the games,"
The teams depart for Rundu as they prepare to represent the corporation at the 2026 Public Enterprise Games.
