Residents of Omaruru and surrounding villages in the Erongo Region will no longer need to travel to neighbouring towns for NATIS services following the official opening of the town’s first fully equipped NATIS centre.
Minister of Works and Transport Veikko Nekundi said the ministry will soon introduce an online booking and payment system at the NATIS centres countrywide.
This will ease ongoing congestion at the NATIS centres.
The Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, made a surprise visit to the NATIS offices in Windhoek on Friday to assess whether clients were satisfied with the service there and that operations ran smoothly.
Minister Nekundi took a tour of the facility where he engaged with employees and clients.
The Roads Authority (RA) is on a road trip to create awareness about the Mobile Vehicle Testing Station.

The Roads Authority continues to break new ground and bring services closer to the people.
So far, it has opened two new NaTIS centers, the latest being at Tsumkwe.
