A Grade 3 dropout from Kavango West Region, Visentius Kapumburu has surprised his community for generating  electricity at home from discarded materials.

The Rundu Town Council has launched its newly established traffic law enforcement unit.

 Kavango East Regional Council Chairperson Damian Maghambayi applauded the council for its achievement in establishing the unit for traffic law enforcement.

A Rundu resident has commended the Ministry of Health and Social Services' Orthotics and Prosthetics department at the town for providing services for persons with disabilities.

Loide Mupuma is one of the proud clients who received artificial limb services at the Rundu State Hospital. 

Kavango East Governor Hamunyera Hambyuka has called on the government to invest in skills development, especially in remote areas and under-resourced communities. 

This includes allocating funding for TVET infrastructures and aligning curricula with market needs.

The Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT) in the Kavango East Region has recently held information-sharing sessions aimed at sensitising the communities on gender-based violence.

The Alba Chipamba Training Centre hosted a graduation ceremony in Rundu on Friday.

Graduates were a combination of the three training centres, namely Walvis Bay, Oshikango and Rundu main centre.

Members of the Namibian Police, from various departments in all 14 regions, recently completed a disciplinary hearing workshop at Rundu.

The training is meant to enhance the level of integrity, fairness, and accountability in the Namibian Police Force.

In an effort to decongest schools in the Kavango East Region, the education directorate has resolved to construct a new primary school in Ndiyona Circuit, situated 100 kilometres east of Rundu. 

The Home Affairs, Immigration, Safety and Security Ministry has served 8,228 people in the Kavango East Region in the recently concluded, six-month mass outreach campaign.

The outreach programme served to bring services closer to citizens in remote areas.
