Oshana Police say they have made tremendous improvements in combating and resolving complex crimes, as they strive to improve real-time reaction to armed robberies.

Festive season policing in the Erongo Region has yielded positive results, with an overall decrease in crime.

While there have been some successes, Erongo Police Commander Nikolaus Kupembona noted that challenges still persist.

The police in the Omaheke Region have recorded ten cases of drinking and driving, four road accidents with one fatality, and a decrease in serious crimes such as armed robberies, housebreakings, assaults, and theft from motor vehicles since the start of the festive season operation.

Former Omaheke Police Commander, Commissioner Andreas Haingura, is now the head of police in the Kavango East Region.

He has replaced Commissioner Johanna Ngondo, who is now the advisor in the Office of the Inspector General.
