Following a deadlock in salary and wage negotiations, the Namibia Local Authority Union (NLAU) has declined Tsumeb Municipality’s 4% across-the-board offer.
The Acting Secretary General of the National Security Guards Protection Union (NSGPU) Mekupi Kandorozu has taken issue with companies that he says, refuse him permission to address members.
He particularly pointed out companies at Otjiwarongo and Okahandja.
More than a hundred Nampharm employees led by the Namibian Revolutionary Transport and Manufacturing Union held a demonstration over the recent removal of employee benefits.
The demonstrators said the removal of medical aid and the 14th cheque without staff consultation was inconsiderate and burdensome.
