All is set for the Hardap Region to celebrate the country's 36th Independence Day anniversary on Saturday. Mariental will host the regional celebrations this year.

Preparations are currently underway for the regional independence celebrations in the Zambezi Region, with the regional preparatory committee saying arrangements are at an advanced stage.

Vice President Lucia Witbooi has returned from Botswana, where she attended the Regional World Children's Day celebration held in Gaborone on 15 November.
