The NDP has rejected allegations of dictatorship, nepotism, and financial misconduct directed at party leader Martin Lukato, though officials admit internal divisions are shaking the party ranks.

Former President Hifikepunye Pohamba has urged members of the Swapo Party to protect the party’s ideologies and address internal divisions, cautioning that visible rifts are fostering disunity. 

Speaking at a regional party leaders' meeting in Eenhana, Pohamba also marked the party’s 66th anniversary.
