A delegation led by Otjombinde Constituency Councilor Wenzel Kavaka and Omaheke Regional Governor Pijoo Nganate has resolved to provide residents of Otjiuapehuri with a borehole through the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, and Land Reform.

The Eastern Epukiro Farmers Association has set a new record by registering more than 980 cattle at their first auction this year in Epukiro Constituency.

In the past, the auction only attracted close to 300 animals on an auction day.

Hardap Veld Fires Contained

The raging veld fires in the Hardap Region that destroyed large tracts of grazing land have finally been contained.

The fire started on resettlement farm Haribes and spread to other farms over the course of five days.

The cause of the fire is still unknown.

A veld fire that had been raging in the ||Kharas Mountain area since last Friday has been extinguished and is no longer a threat.

Keetmanshoop Rural Constituency Councillor Gertjie Witbooi said this as he gave an update on the veld fire.
