Inspector General Joseph Shikongo is concerned over the rising number of rape cases in Namibia, warning that a failure to address underlying social issues is fuelling the crisis.

Rehoboth resident Naomi Fisch has been arrested again after police allegedly discovered bags of cocaine at her home, weeks after she was released on bail.

Fisch was granted N$10,000 bail last month by a magistrate, despite opposition from the State, which argued that she was likely to reoffend.
