The Baby Desert Jewels' Under-21 national team, who competed in the Africa Qualifiers in Pretoria, South Africa, failed to secure a spot at the U21 World Cup in the United Kingdom.

Only three countries qualified for the prestigious tournament, and The Baby Desert Jewels finished in sixth place at the recent Africa Qualifiers held from the 17th to the 23rd of this March.

Head coach Jones Musabani praised the team's dedication and highlighted their resilience and passion for Netball. Despite facing challenges, the Athletes have grown while representing Namibia with pride.

The Baby Jewels won two games, lost four (including the Playoff), and drew one during the tournament. South Africa, Malawi, and Zambia secured spots for the Netball World Youth Cup 2025 in Gibraltar next September.

Although disappointed, the Namibian team is grateful for the opportunity to showcase their talent at the qualifiers.
