Gobabis Standard Bank staff spent Ascension Day with vulnerable children housed at Val and Opstaan Care Centre in the Gobabis informal settlement.

Staff members prepared breakfast and lunch for a group of more than twenty children.

Group Spokesperson Jaco Barnard said it is high time that everyone come on board to aid the needy and make them feel special.

Omaheke Governor Pijoo Nganate commended Standard Bank and its staff for the helping hand extended. 

Nganate also implored farmers and other members of the public to join hands in fighting malnutrition in the region. 

On behalf of the Care Centre,Theopoldine Mbahepa said the centre is in dire need of nutritional food.
