Learners from schools in Keetmanshoop staged a peaceful demonstration to condemn the recent tragic killings of three young girls in Okahandja.

They expressed sympathy with the community of Okahandja for the pain and suffering caused by these brutal acts.

The learners called for safe schools and streets and demanded zero tolerance for child abuse, exploitation, and neglect. Moreover, they urged communities to be vigilant and to act swiftly upon danger signs.

Upon receiving the petition, Mayor of Keetmanshoop Annelize Knaus echoed their call for justice and action and assured them that their petition would be forwarded to the highest authority.
