Angola has offered to assist Namibia in setting up a public data centre.
The Minister of Information and Communication Technology, Emma Theofelus, visited the public data centre in Luanda, Angola, under the National Institute for the Promotion of the Information Society – INFOSI.
Angola is upgrading the data centre into a state-of-the-art facility, which will play a crucial role in fostering economic growth, boosting digital infrastructure, and improving the quality of digital services to citizens.
The Director General of INFOSI, Andre Pedro, says data centres are essential for any given country, as they offer safe storage, processing and delivery of data, applications and online services, which are vital in various aspects of modern life.
