The Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Namibia’s Parliament, with a renewed emphasis on digital transformation and legislative innovation.

This commitment follows a recent courtesy visit by the organization’s new resident representative, Anna Hoffmann-Kwanga, to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila.

Hoffmann-Kwanga, who took office in March after leading KAS operations in Zimbabwe for four years, expressed her intention to align the foundation's support with Parliament’s evolving priorities. She highlighted a particular interest in contributing to discussions and capacity-building initiatives related to artificial intelligence and digitalization.

The Speaker welcomed this approach, emphasizing Parliament’s focus on technology-driven reforms to enhance lawmaking, oversight, and citizen engagement.

Over the coming months, KAS is expected to collaborate closely with Parliament to identify strategic areas of cooperation that align with these emerging priorities.
