Newly elected Councillor for Kabbe South Constituency, Raymond Sezuni of the Swapo Party, was sworn into office today.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Zambezi Regional Council.

"This is a swearing-in in terms of Section 9, Subsection 1 of the Regional Council Act, Act 22 of 1992, as a mandate after a vacancy has been created in the Regional Council. Repeat after me by saying, I, Raymond Kamwi Sezuni, do hereby swear and solemnly and sincerely promise to be faithful to the Republic of Namibia, to uphold and defend the Namibian constitution and the laws of the Republic of Namibia and to perform my duties as councillor of the Zambezi Regional Council. diligently, honestly and fairly to the best of my ability. So help me God."

The position became vacant after the election of former councillor John Likando to the National Assembly.
