Africa finds itself at a pivotal juncture in the digital landscape.

While the continent has a population of 1.4 billion people, representing 18% of the world's population, it holds less than 1% of global data centre capacity.

These were the remarks of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology's Executive Director, Dr. Audrin Mathe, who was speaking at the African Data Summit in Nairobi, Kenya.
