India's Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, will pay a state visit to Namibia on July 9.
The Namibian Presidency confirmed that President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah will host Prime Minister Modi during the visit, which is aimed at exploring new areas of enhanced cooperation.
"Driven by a common desire to deepen bilateral relations between the two nations, the leaders will witness the signing of bilateral cooperation agreements, including those in trade and investment, the environment, education, health, and ICT," said Press Secretary Alfredo Hengari.
The Indian Prime Minister's programme includes an address to a joint session of Parliament and a visit to Heroes' Acre.
Dr. Hengari added that the two leaders will also exchange views on global issues of mutual concern.
