Miss Teen Namibia, Elaine Engelbrecht, has arrived in India's Jaipur city, where she will represent the country at the Miss Teen International 2025 pageant.
Prior to the departure to India, Engelbrecht was sent off at the Hosea Kutako International Airport by her peers from Centaurus Secondary School and teachers and learners, as well as family members, who showed their support.
The gathering was organised as a surprise, with the school community encouraging her ahead of her participation on the global stage.
The Miss Namibia Organisation also expressed appreciation to M&Z Motors and Brand Ambassador Pombili Shilongo for their support in preparing Engelbrecht for the competition.
The CEO, Umbi Karuaihe-Upi, said Engelbrecht's participation reflects the determination of Namibian youth to compete internationally.
The Miss Teen International 2025 pageant will feature contestants from across the world, with Engelbrecht set to showcase Namibia on the international platform.
Meanwhile, the First Secretary at Namibia's High Commission in India, Tangeni Mulunga, welcomed the beauty queen and the Miss Namibia delegation in Jaipur.
