The National Democratic Party (NDP) leader, Martin Lukato, raised concerns about the water crisis in the Zambezi Region, particularly at the Queensland village in the Kongola Constituency.

Lukato enquired about the planned interventions to address the water issue, which is affecting both people and livestock.

Minister of Agriculture Inge Zaamwani acknowledged that they are aware of the water situation and are trying to bring it closer to the residents, especially those in rural areas.

Lukato further informed the house that there are also shortages of vehicles to reach people in remote areas.

Zaamwani admitted that transport is a problem but said the ministry is working on modalities to reach people residing in remote areas.
