The Managing Director of Windhoeker Maschinefabrik under August 26 Holdings', Colonel Petrus Anton, has been suspended.

In a media statement, August 26 Holding confirmed that the decision to suspend Colonel Anton follows internal governance assessments undertaken to uphold organisational alignment, accountability, and operational efficiency.

In order to safeguard business continuity and ensure uninterrupted service delivery, the suspension, the board said, was implemented while finalising the necessary modalities to maintain full operational stability.

The decision, they further said, was reached after careful consideration and reflects the company's commitment to its strategic mandate and sound corporate governance.

In 2024, a controversy emerged about an alleged N$8 million quotation for a single spare part implicating Colonel Anton.

However, the board refused to issue further comment on the suspension, stating an active internal review.
