Namibia's rising tennis star, twelve-year-old Shafiishuna Shimali, continues to make waves on the courts after being confirmed as the number one ranked Under-14 boys' player in the country.
Shimali, who competes in the U14 category despite being only 12 years old, has shown exceptional talent and consistency, placing him ahead of fellow players Breyton (second) and Pameni (third) in the latest national rankings.
The young tennis prospect is currently representing Namibia at the ITF/CAT Southern African Junior and Teams Championships, taking place in Gaborone, Botswana, from 9 to 17 January. The tournament brings together some of the region's best junior players and offers a valuable platform for competition and development.
Shimali's participation not only highlights his growing potential but also signals a bright future for Namibian tennis on the regional stage.
