The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has released the 2026 general election roadmap leading to the August polls. 

The official programme is underway with the delimitation of constituencies consultations taking place in all the 116 districts of the 10 provinces of the country.

The approval of the delimitation report will be done on the 7th of April, while physical inspection of the voters' provisional register will be done from the 2nd to the 8th of March.

The online inspection of the same register will follow on Sunday, the 8th of March. 

The Certification of the Voters register will then follow on Thursday, 30th April. 

The nominations of candidates for the Presidential, Members of Parliament and local government councillors will run on the 18th and 19th of May. 

The campaigns will run for three months from 21st May to 12th August in readiness for elections on the 13th August, a date that is enshrined in the Zambian Constitution.

The publication of results is set for 17th to 24th August 2026.
