President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah has wished all Namibians a peaceful Easter period of reflection and renewal.

She said the Easter weekend holds deep spiritual significance and reminds Christians of sacrifice, compassion, forgiveness, and the triumph of hope over despair.

From the Book of John, she quoted, "In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." The President remarked that this powerful message embodies resilience, faith, and the enduring promise of hope.

She said these values will continue to guide and inspire the nation to strengthen unity, promote understanding, and care for one another, especially the most vulnerable.

Dr. Nandi-Ndaitwah said this sacred period also offers an opportunity to reflect on shared responsibility to build a peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous Namibia.

She urged the nation to renew its commitment to national unity, reconciliation, and service to the communities.

The head of state said she is mindful that, while the Easter period is a sacred and joyful time of reflection and renewal, it has unfortunately also become a period associated with a high number of road accidents.

She therefore urged all Namibians to exercise caution on the roads, to drive safely and responsibly, and to remain mindful of the lives of others.

The president also extended appreciation to members of the security services, healthcare workers, and all essential personnel who continue to serve the nation during this holiday period, wishing them renewed hope, faith, joy, and a peaceful Easter weekend.
