The Ministry of Works and Transport has appointed new board members for the Roads Contractor Company (RCC), the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), and Transnamib.

The board members are expected to provide strategic oversight, sound governance, and accountable leadership in their respective entities.

The appointees for the Road Contractor Company (RCC) include Dr Lea Namoloh, who will be serving as the chairperson, with Richwell Lukonga as deputy chairperson of the board.

Other board members include Linus Hamukoto, Dr Helmut |Naweseb, and Yvette Hausiku.

"It is an important responsibility indeed, which we are not taking lightly. We accept the appointment with gratitude, with commitment, and with a deep sense of duty," says Namoloh. 

In the Namibia Civil Aviation Authority, the ministry has appointed Loide Shaparara as chairperson and Martha Hitenanye as deputy chairperson, with other board members being Joseph Shipepe, Edward Kafita, John Shimaneni, Edson Issaks, and Sam Nekaro.

"We take our fiduciary responsibility seriously, and we promise that we will execute our duties with the honour, integrity and distinction that is expected and collaborate with you, as we are now a team," expressed Shaparara. 

Transnamib appointees include Dr Esther McLeod, who will serve as chairperson of the board, and Gilroy Kasper as deputy chairperson.

Other members include Delila Kalangula, Brian Masule and Romeo Asa.

"We will ensure ethical leadership and ethical conduct in all that we do, fulfil our fiduciary responsibilities with integrity and hold ourselves to the same standard we expect of management," adds McCleod. 

Minister of Works and Transport, Veikko Nekundi, urged the appointed members to serve with honour, integrity and distinction, with their leadership contributing to stronger institutions and continued socio-economic development.

"To the incoming board members, your role is not ceremonial. It demands active participation, strategic thinking, and unwavering dedication to public service. The nation will look to you for stewardship and results."
