South African President Cyril Ramaphosa arrived in Paris today for a three-day visit to France, accompanied by First Lady Tshepo Motsepe and a senior government delegation.
Footage shows Ramaphosa walking along a red carpet and greeting officials at the airport before leaving in a presidential motorcade.
Ramaphosa is scheduled to meet French President Emmanuel Macron, co-chair high-level UNESCO talks on education, and hold discussions with French business leaders on strengthening economic ties.
The visit concludes on Sunday in Longueval, northern France, where Ramaphosa will lead commemorations marking the 110th anniversary of the Battle of Delville Wood.
The ceremony will honour South African soldiers who fought and died there during the First World War.
