Namibia National Reinsurance Corporation (NamibRe) donated digital projectors valued at N$100,000 to Oshikunde Combined School in the Ohangwena Region.
At the handover event, NamibRe Board member Dr. Akutu Munyika said the educational equipment would provide learners with greater access to knowledge, create more engaging learning experiences and inspire them to imagine, innovate and pursue excellence.
"We recognise that building a resilient nation is not only about managing financial risks; it's about investing in people. The projectors we donate are not simply pieces of equipment; they represent opportunity. They represent a brief that learners in every corner of Namibia deserve access to resources that can enhance their education and expand their horizons."
Dr. Munyika further encouraged learners to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them.
"The future of Namibia will require leaders who are innovative, ethical, compassionate and courageous. When you use these projectors in your classrooms, remember that technology is only a tool; the greatest resources Namibia has are you, your minds, your talents, your ideas and your determination."
Receiving the donation, Acting Education Inspector for the Ohakafiya Circuit, Inspector Joseph Mwedihanga, described it as a valuable investment in the school.
He said the support would enhance teaching and learning by providing learners and teachers with improved educational resources.
"Your contribution ensures that our bright minds have the modern, digital tools required to succeed in today's technology-driven world. The consistent excellent academic results of this school are not an act of change but a testament to the sleepless nights, dedication and resilience of both our staff members at Oshikunde and learners."
