Chevron Namibia plans to drill a second exploration well in the Orange Basin, expanding its offshore oil and gas exploration programme.

Chevron Namibia Country Manager Beatrice Bienvenu and Deputy Country Manager Ndapewoshali Shapwanale briefed President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah and cluster ministers on the planned drilling activities on the margins of the UN General Assembly.

The company also briefed President Nandi-Ndaitwah in New York on its operations, including local content initiatives focused on capacity building in Namibia.

Chevron entered Namibia in 2022 and holds interests in two blocks in the Walvis and Orange basins.
