The Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology, Linda Aipinge-Nakale, says the 9th National ICT Summit must move beyond theoretical discussions to deliver practical solutions that create jobs and eradicate poverty.

Speaking during the commencement of the summit this morning at Ongwediva, Aipinge-Nakale said hosting the summit in the Oshana Region for the first time signals government's commitment to decentralise digital transformation.

The Executive Director says the move marks a powerful shift to involve regional ecosystems, adding that digital transformation is the ultimate enabler driving progress through infrastructure, connectivity, AI and innovation.

This year's theme is Harnessing ICT for Inclusive Growth, Digital Pathways to Reduce Unemployment and Eradicate Poverty.

The summit will be officially opened tomorrow
