NamPower has issued a warning to the public and tourists to avoid the Kunene River, stressing that no one should attempt to swim in it due to the high risk of drowning.

The newly appointed minister Indileni Daniel announced that this plan is set to be completed by the end of June this year. 

There are nearly 1,000 unfilled vacancies at the Ministry of Works and Transport.

Minister Veikko Nekundi voiced his frustration over the lack of action in filling these positions, especially amid Namibia's high unemployment rate.
