The government has unveiled the official mourning portrait of the Founding President, Sam Nujoma, to be displayed during the mourning period.

Audrin Mathe, Executive Director of the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology (MICT), announced that the portrait will be accessible nationwide.

Residents of Noordoewer and Grunau in the ||Kharas Region have expressed deep sorrow over the death of Namibia’s Founding President, Dr. Sam Nujoma.

Reflecting on his passing, residents acknowledged Nujoma’s pivotal role in the country’s liberation.

The Governor of Kavango East Region, Bonifatius Wakudumo, has joined the nation in mourning the death of Namibia’s first president, Dr. Sam Nujoma, describing him as a selfless leader who dedicated his life to the country’s freedom and development.

At the memorial service for the late Founding President Sam Nujoma, speakers reflected on the profound impact he had on their lives and the nation, inspiring them to create organizations aimed at transforming the lives of others.

The bail hearing for Edward Rooi who stands accused of killing his wife and daughter in 2022 at Stinkwater continues before the Windhoek Magistrate's Court today.

Rooi faces two counts of murder, four counts of attempted murder and two counts of malicious damage to property.
