Prime Minister Elijah Ngurare has urged members of parliament to familiarise themselves with the National Development Plans.

The Bank of Namibia has announced that it will maintain the repo rate at 6.50%.

The Namibia Competition Commission (NaCC) is reviewing Nasan Energies’ proposed acquisition of 52 fuel businesses from Vivo Energy Namibia and Engen Namibia. 

The commission expects the process to be finalised by the end of May, following nearly two years of negotiations.

The Namibia Correctional Services have said that the oldest inmate in custody is 77 years old and is serving a 14-year sentence for murder, while the average age of inmates at the facility is between 29 and 38, according to figures provided by the authorities.

A total of 184 Angolan nationals are currently held in correctional facilities in Namibia, while 107 inmates have applied to be transferred to Angola, of those who have applied, only 17 have national identification documents.
