Farmers at the Hardap Irrigation Scheme have asked NamWater to restore water supply to their irrigation fields, as the Hardap Dam received water inflow following rains in its catchment areas. 

People returning to various destinations in the country's southern parts are stranded at the Harare resting complex and the Okatana service stations at Oshakati in the Oshana Region, waiting for long-distance buses to arrive.

A disturbing incident of grave violation has left the community of Bito village in the Zambezi Region in shock and disbelief.

The incident, which occurred on January 6, is being investigated by the police. 

While expressing gratefulness for the initiatives introduced by the Rehoboth Town Council to bring about development in the town, the residents want the council to pay attention to their needs.

This includes streetlights, water and sewage services in the informal settlements, and waste disposal.

The Rehoboth Town Council has expressed its commitment to serving the community despite challenges by prioritising road infrastructure, investment, and basic services.

The town, located some 80 kilometres south of Windhoek, has about 70,000 inhabitants.
