A fairer Namibia, characterised by an educated youth, healthcare, and affordable housing, with sufficient investment in the areas of tourism and renewable energy.

Residents of Sikondo Village in Kavango West have collected about N$400,000 towards their collective goal to electrify their homes. Still, they remain a long way from reaching the required close to N$3 million to see this dream realised. 

The Windhoek Municipal Council has approved a five-year electrification plan aimed at addressing the backlog of 4,000 unelectrified erven in various informal settlements.

As Namibia's oil and gas sector gains momentum, there is a strong focus on developing the necessary skills for its success. 

Over 4,000 households in the Kunene and Ohangwena regions will receive drought relief aid for six months. 

This comes after the United Nations World Food Programme, with support from the Government of Japan, donated N$9 million towards the drought relief programme.
