The Junior National Council (JNC) concluded with an insightful session focussing on the future of education and technology in the country.

Police Deputy Inspector General for Operations Elias Mutota informed police officers at Outjo to stop using the lack of vehicles as an excuse not to attend to emergencies.

This caution comes after reports that police officers do not attend to crime scenes, citing a lack of vehicles.

The Women's Action for Development (WAD) conducted a five-day' workshop on gender-based violence (GBV) for male police officers.

The workshop, which was held at Rundu, was attended by members of the force from all the country's 14 regions.

A group of Keetmanshoop residents alleged nepotism in the appointments at the municipality as well as unfair labour practices. 

The protesters, in a petition, accused the acting HR Strategic Executive Manager, Adam Isaack, of alleged nepotism. 

The Deputy Director for Programmes and Quality Assurance in the Oshikoto Education Directorate, Thomas Kalimbo, has emphasised the importance of literacy, especially in rural areas.

Kalimbo gave this reminder during the celebration of Literacy Adult Learners Week at Onambudu Primary School.
