Police have arrested a seventh suspect in connection with the death of 24-year-old NUST student, Matheus Sheehama, at Walvis Bay.

He is 18-year-old Moses Kandume.

As part of its efforts to enhance the standard of facilities and operational capabilities of police in the region, the |Khomas Regional Council took it upon itself to repair police vehicles as well as repaint and renovate holding cells. 

This is all being done at a cost of N$1.5 million.

The Namibian Police Force (NamPol) seized nearly 745,000 kilogrammes of cannabis during a series of operations around the country in July.

NamPol, in a statement on Thursday, said various drug substances were confiscated and 130 individuals arrested between 01 and 31 July.
