The Democratic Republic of Congo's (DRC) President, Félix Tshisekedi, has declared August 2 as the National Day of Commemoration, marking 30 years since the onset of the Congolese human and economic genocide, referred to as "genocost."
Residents of the Tsandi Constituency commemorated the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons at Ongongolwa Primary School at Iikokola Village in the Omusati Region.
The day raises awareness about trafficking in persons and the protection of victims's rights.
Five men have been arrested in connection with the disappearance of 24-year-old engineering student, Matheus Sheehama at Walvis Bay.
