The strike at Namagra Karibib has entered its fourth day as workers rejected the company's offer to increase wages by N$2 per hour. The company has also proposed a housing allowance of N$200 per employee.

Excited high school learners from across Namibia have gathered in Windhoek for the sixth session of the Children's Parliament, set to commence on Tuesday.

The children, 62 in total, are drawn from high schools in all 14 of the country's 14 regions.

The Executive Director in the Ministry of Health and Social Services says that as part of the ministry's effort to strengthen the public health system, they have taken a decision to set up intensive care units in district hospitals countrywide. 

Speakers from diverse backgrounds at the Voters Youth Conference encouraged young people to exercise their democratic rights and register to vote in the upcoming elections.

The conference, organised by the Love Palm Charity Foundation, encouraged the young people to go out and make their mark.

There is an urgent need for collaboration to combat money laundering in the country. This sentiment was echoed by participants at the National Training on Financial Analysis and Effective Utilisation of Financial Intelligence workshop, which concluded on Friday.
